single

Sunday, September 16

Thursday was Moriah's 1st Birthday! So Friday we did a photo shoot. What a task! At one-year-old she's such a bundle of energy it was crazy. We spent about one hour and took two-hundred pictures. Final result: 3 usable pictures, and one really good one (>portfolio>portrait).

I decided I need a lot more practice and a good lighting class. I also want a baby girl now - but apparently that's not going to happen.

It's said that your decision for Christ, and who you marry are the two biggest decisions you'll ever make. I've made both. Here's the scoop:

I saw a bulletin posted today that had an interesting title ('No Boyfriend'). Eventually, curiosity got the best of me and I read the bulletin (okay, so the title wasn't really interesting, and I wasn't really very curious, but how much curiosity does it take to evoke a click of the mouse?). Here's the gist of the bulletin:

Repost this and you won't be single any more.

Don't repost this and you'll be single forever.

Oh, and it also said, 'This is for real!' Needless to say, I deleted it. But no sooner had I clicked 'delete' than I realized I'd just doomed myself to perpetual singularity - there went the second biggest decision I'll make in my lifetime! I guess now I can focus on other things.

Comments :
wow... talk about personality... she's precious! Little kids can be so much fun to photograph... and frustrating! lol The shot of her in your portrait gallery is incredible... nice work.

According to forwards:

1. My guardian angel's done up and left me.
2. I will have bad luck for....127 years, if I've calculated right.
3. All of my friends will forsake me before the year 2008.
4. I am no longer a Christian
5. I don't love God.
6. I don't love my friends
7. I'm not a friend

And the list goes on....

Cute pictures, btw. =)I have a little brother that will be 1 next month and my goodness! He's all energy. I feel your pain.

Thanks guys. I was talking with a photographer the other day. Turns out it's not all that bad. We only shot for about 40 minutes. She told me you usually need about 1 1/2 hrs with little kids... I'm gonna see if there's more pictures I can salvage too.

I just got back from climbing Golden Ears (A mountain outside of Vancouver). I feel like my knees are going to explode... So I'm gonna blog it - tons of new great pictures. And they're all nature shots - things that don't move as much as babies!

Brandon, I know what your knees feel like!! Golden Ears was a killer - but NICE! Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Brandon, So sorry for you blowing the second biggest decision of your life like that. One mouse click... Who would have guessed? Thanks for posting it though... it spares the rest of us from making the same mistake and having to live life as you will have to now. ;-)
Keep us posted on the results of such a life....
Nice photo shots, too, BTW.

Great to see you are growing. The last we talked about kids you thought of it as something you would do many many year year down the line. I am sure you will only be single for as long as God would like you to be single. Which could be forever.........forever. Well good luck with that.

Haha, thanks. You're right. It's all in the Lord's timing. I don't think it'll be forever, though. :)
