Happy New Year

Sunday, February 10

...Chinese New Year that is. Last night the team went over to the McCann's (members of the church at which we're working) for a Chinese New Year's celebration (I don't think anyone really knew how to celebrate the Chinese New Year, but it was still a lot of fun). According to the Chinese Zodiac, does anyone know what year I was boarn in?

...okay, moving on...

Since I got my new lens, I decided to take the camera along and practice. I got some pretty nice shots, but they were all with my 50mm lens...

Can anyone tell me what this is a picture of?

And just for kicks, here's one of the wedding pictures. I'm still working on which one's I'm going to put up, but hopefully I'll have them all up by the end of this week.

Comments :
wow, your pics are so beautiful and full of color and meaning...

haha... great captions. You really had me on that one picture... couldn't figuire out what you ment by, "Can anyone tell what this is a picture of?"... looked like Jay with a guitar to me! lol... then I scrolled down a little further... ;)

Thanks Jessica, I never really thought of them as meaningful, but now that you say it, I guess I see it.

Ya, I was wondering if I should put the captions below or above. I guess I kind of started out putting them below, and then switched - confusing.

So what's the picture? You never did say...

oh! lol... hmmm... looks like a Rottweiler?... a sweet Rottweiler if that's what it is - he has such a forlorn look on his face... great picture.

And the winner is Brooke (where'd that name come from anyway?) What should the prize be?

Honestly, I wasn't sure what the picture was of, I knew it looked like an animal of some sort! lol
Brooke your good!!! I was bitten by a rot when I was little so I should have known!!

Hmmm... didn't know there was a prize... how about one of your nature shots?... or I suppose I could go with the trip to Disney World... ;)
(Brooke is my middle name.)

Disney World it is! Have fun, and don't forget to thank Shannon for donating that vacation!

I don't mind rewarding my faithful readers for their commitment and participation. (hint hint to the rest of you...)

She said no problem... we were needing a vacation just about now. ;)
